Scents of ripe lychee, apricot, lime, spice, and stone. Medium to full bodied, with fresh acidity and a tingly peppery mouth feel. Flavors of lychee, apricot, lime, earth, stone and a good deal of spice are enlivened by a saline element. The aromas and flavors are unusually complex and interesting for Gewurztraminer. The finish includes a good deal of spice but is by no means coarse. Length is very good.
The 2019 Gewürztraminer comes in with 8.2 grams of residual sugar, 6.7 of total acidity—still listed as dry, but certainly not austere—and 13.1% alcohol. Friendly and reasonably concentrated, this is a Gewürz that is in beautiful balance. Expressive and pure, it is still very aromatic, with typical Gewürztraminer nuances on the nose and palate, but never too much; it does not lean to overkill in Gewürz nuances. It could use even a bit more concentration—although it is more concentrated than the 2018 I saw recently—but it is very appealing in its youth. We will see if it ages well, but at the moment, there's a lot to like. Wine Advocate
